Charles asks… Am I asking too much? Yesterday my very close work friend told me she is planning on getting married July 2013, in either Las Vegas or Hawaii and she would like my boyfriend and I to be part of the small group of people she wants there for her special day. I am ecstatic at the idea – I believe life is about living and prefer a hedonistic lifestyle, but I wonder if I am asking too much of my boyfriend? My friend is very well off and she and her family are paying for all their guests’ accommodation and group activities (I’m assuming tours, sightseeing etc) for 5 days so we’d only have to worry about flights and spending money. She has given us a year and a half to save up which I think is plenty of time. My boyfriend and I have a lot of money saved between us. It is to buy a home someday, but I personally am in NO rush to do this. I am happy to continue renting and just grateful that I am fortunate enough to have a roof over my head. He is in much more of a rush [...]
Here I am rolling through a DUI checkpoint. Refusing to answer their questions, I’m eventually freed. Sorry for the steering wheel in the way, I’m not a professional photographer obviously.

Paul asks… Can anyone recomend to me the following things of intrest in Las Vegas? My girlfriend and i are going to Vegas in December and are in need of the following info: 1) A cheap and clean motel / hotel/ accommodation, ($100 – $150 for both of us per night, either on the strip or within a short walking distance. 2) A reputable tattoo parlour, again within walking distance of the strip. 3) Somewhere that does bungee jumping. 4) We want to see a Cirque show but cant decide which one looks best. 5) We also want to see a couple of other shows like the Blue Man Group but are not sure which are the ones to go for. 6) Where is the best place to go to get the best value tickets for these shows. 7) We would also like to see some live comedy while we are there, can anyone recommend some good places to go. If there is anything else that you can think of that we should check out please let us know. cheers, john Jane answers: Most hotels are within that price range. Try Ti, Mirage, Flamingo, Luxor. They all have websites. Get [...]
A gigantic replica of the Great Sphinx stands in front of the 30-story dark pyramid of the Luxor Las Vegas Hotel and Casino, inviting guests into the Egyptian-themed resort, complete with swaying palms, statues of Ramses and a mock obelisk. Accessible by the Vegas monorail, the Luxor is at the south end of The Strip near the Las Vegas Convention Center. With its flashing beam of light on the apex and a towering atrium inside, the pyramid is a favorite among vacationing families, though the vast casino, nightly entertainment and gourmet dining guarantee adults a quintessential Las Vegas vacation. Dramatically lit statues, towering pillars and polished wood furniture adorn the marble lobby. Pyramid guest accommodations are accessed by inclinators (elevators that ascend on an angle because of the building’s shape) and have slanted picture windows that look out onto The Strip. The hotels Egyptian theme is subtler in the guest rooms, which are decorated with comfortable, contemporary furnishings, though scattered touches such as hieroglyphic artwork or black lacquer inlay evoke the exotic vibe. Rooms and Las Vegas suites range from about 400 square feet to over 1000 square feet, the most luxurious of which offers marble soaking tubs, separate sitting [...]
Chris asks… USA trip…. suggestions? Hi there, just a quick question. We r planning a trip to usa and plan on visiting LA, San fran, las vegas, Mexico and perhaps NY and Miami. Was wondering if it would be cheaper to personally book a multicity air ticket and book accommodation ourselves or look for a holiday package that includes accom. We like the idea of personally booking as many of the tour packages include stuff we don’t particularly want to see or do. But would like some opinions. Thankyou Yeah i realise Mexico isn’t part of USA but we would still like to visit there. Jane answers: I would book individually. Maybe find a good package for Mexico, you could probably pick something up like an all inclusive package (accommodation, alcohol, activities) for a pretty good price. The rest I would suggest doing it yourself. But I guess making those comparisons would be up to you. Also, if there are a couple of you traveling together, think about hiring a car instead of flying all the time. Sometimes this works out cheaper. I have hired a car on a number of occasions because it works out cheaper than flying (there [...]
